Finally, a lazy day.

Both boys had ball tournaments this past weekend. Grant in Manhattan, Mitch in KC. They finished up Sunday evening, so we were able to enjoy a nice day at the lake on Monday. Don't kid yourself though, it all started all over again on Tuesday. Mitch back at the ball diamond for a double header.........until 11:15 pm., then Grant again on Wednesday for a double header.

Worlds of Fun

We went to Worlds of Fun last weekend and had a great time. Notice....my children are no where to be found on this ride!
Grant and Uncle Bill mapping out what rides they WEREN'T going to ride. I think Uncle Bill carried more purses and jackets than anyone on this trip!
Finally, something both of them would get on. We did finally get Grant on the Timberwolf. Mitch exited through the chicken exit on the Prowler. Probably a good thing.

This water ride was a hit with everyone.

There was a bridge that you could stand on and watch them come down. The teenie bopper girls warned my husband that he was going to get drenched if he stood there. Looks like he didn't move fast enough!!

Road trip.............through a hail storm!

We headed to KC Friday evening in hopes of catching the Royals game, however, the weather about had us turning around. After stopping twice to sit through the hail and heavy rain, we continued on to KC. Game time, 7:10pm. The time the game actually started, 9:45pm.
We didn't want to miss, as Greinke was pitching. He only allowed one run that night, and he was not happy about it either. What a stud. The new and improved stadium was awesome.
Is that REALLY his name??
It was a very long evening. We stayed for the whole game and for the fireworks afterwords. Kids still wide awake for it all............mom, fell asleep in the car on the way back to Aunt Christy's. Have to get a goods night rest, as World's of Fun was awaiting us the next day.

Happy Mother's Day to Me......at the ball park.

Another weekend at the ballpark. Grant had a tournament in Manhattan. Mitch's team was supposed to play, but not enough 8yr old teams, so his was cancelled. So, only 4 games for Grant, but for some crazy reason, I was at the ballpark until 11:00pm on Saturday watching other games, and again on Sunday we stuck around after Grant was done. Is this normal?

We want a pitcher.............

Mitch finally got his turn on the mound. I think all of the other coaches looked at Scott like "what are you doing" Turns out he struck out 3 out of the 4 batters that inning. He was just a little excited!! I love this age of baseball when everything is such a thrill to them.
Some of the older brothers/Titans watching the game.

Look what the cat drug in.........

So I come around the corner this morning, as this is what I walk into. Our cat brought in this sweet little baby bird. I guess it's better than a mouse, but it scared the dickens out of me.

One on risers, one on the mound

Mitch had his spring program at school last night, and Grant had 2 league games in town last night.

My Knight and Shining Armor

Mitch seems to be following in his brothers footsteps, and has started practicing catching at his baseball practices. He then had to come home and practice a little bit more.

It's Official

Somebody else's trash really is one's treasure. These are a few of the goodies that I found at the Titan garage sale. A perfect solution for my kitchen floor.
An adorable K-State purse for my friend's little girl. The inside is lined with powercat material.

Like new luggage for my sister-in-law.
And a bird feeder that still had the tags on it!
And, the best part of all, we made a chunk of money for the team.

I sure hope.........

That people show up this morning. We are having our First Annual Titan baseball garage sale. Because the boys travel to so many tournaments, equipment costs, etc., the parents decided to add another fund raiser. You would have thought that after being in charge of Next to New a couple of years, I would have hung up the keys...........but I just couldn't resist. I love watching people find treasures out of other peoples junk.
