Thursday, Friday "Happy Days"

This quaint little diner is in Marysville, KS. It reminded me of the diner from "Happy Days"
It's amazing all the things you notice in the car when you don't have your children causing other distractions.

Wacky Wednesday

This week is Catholic Schools Week and the kids get to dress differently each day. Today was Wacky Wednesday. As usual, we are rushed getting out the door to get to school on time, so I didn't even think of taking a picture until halfway down the driveway.
Mitch stopped long enough to give me a pose before going into school.
Grant, on the other hand, was not going to be caught getting his picture taken by his mother in front of school. This was the best I could get!

Any bacon lovers out there?

I have a family of boys that l.o.v.e. bacon, but I have always hated the mess, splattered grease and the smell for the rest of the day. I have found the answer and have cooked bacon this way ever since.
Bake it in the oven at 350.
Usually takes about 35-45 min.
It's the best ever!!

Some more of this on Sunday

The boys both played in a tournament in Wamego last weekend. 6 games between the both of them. Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa were there to help transport back and forth to different gyms. They both play 2 league games this weekend. My goal this weekend, to be the quiet bystander. Ha..............we'll see.

A busy week

I was in KC for 3 days this week training at the corporate office. There is CANDY all over the place. This is only about 1/4 of what I left with. Luckily, my father-in-law loves candy so I pawned it off on him. It's a very good thing that I don't carry samples with me. I must say, it is darn good chocolate.

Steve goes to college

Isn't that how it works? Steve goes away to college and leaves Blue behind. Probably won't be the case at our house. Mitch will be going to college and taking this little fella with him. Mitch has been caring for Blue since he was about 2. He use to go EVERYWHERE with us. Now, he is limited to bedtime. However, Mitch still has a great love for this furry little blue creature that no longer has a nose.
His older brother, Grant, still has great fun tormenting him! I must admit, it was a pretty good shot to get him to stay up there.
Mitch's attempt to get him down. Dad to the rescue...........he flipped the switch!

Take me out to the ballgame............

Hard to believe, but baseball is right around the corner. The boys took some lessons this evening to get ready for the season.

It seems like there just isn't a break in between sports anymore.

And for the record, I have no idea why my background is not showing up. Jen S.........help.

Nothing but net

Actually, nothing but work and basketball. I have been a slacker at blogging this week. Scott and I both busy with work, and our evenings full of basketball with both boys. This weekend is no different. K-state game tomorrow and then the boys play on Sunday.

Grant's basketball team played in a tournament in Manhattan this weekend. They walked away with a gold medal today.

Can you please sign this??

Jordy Nelson was in Manhattan and attending some of the basketball games over the weekend. Mitch was so excited to go over and ask him for his autograph.
