1st Day of School

Mitch is in 2nd grade this year. He will still pose for a pic for me.

Grant, going into 6th, knows exactly where the photo goes, so he won't stop for me. He was excited to meet up with his buds and ride to school today.

This is the best I could get. And yes, he wore a helmet.

Stumped

On the way to the lake this weekend in Council Grove, we were driving to a friends cabin, and this is what we came across. There was a storm early in the week, and this sight really put it in perspective what 80 to 90 mile an hour wind can do.
The boys could barely believe what they were seeing.

Spagetti Tacos

For those of you that have children who watch "I Carly", you have probably seen these before. Mitch wanted to give them a try. He actually ate it!

A Willey of a Weekend

A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated Mitch's 8th birthday at the lake, and our good friends from Abilene came to visit. It doesn't seem to matter how much time passes between visits, these kids just pick up right where they left off.
Mark willing it give it a shot since his daughter has no fear out there.
Renae, our diligent flag girl.

Mitch picked out a blank birthday cake so that we could decorate it. Notice that I have not given you any close up photos. I attempted to write Happy Birthday Mitch on it in red icing, and it was soooo bad, that Mitch was begging me to scrape it off and let Renae do it! Renae did have to out do me with her Kindergarten Teacher skills and draw on the brownies for him. Pretty sure I won't get that job again next year.

Hard to believe, but it's been 20 years.

This weekend was my 20 year class reunion. This is my BFF since Kindergarten. My husband still doesn't understand what we have to talk about 10 times a day.
The ones we let get away............these guys insisted that they were there for the class of '89 reunion. Still have no clue if they were telling the truth. It was good for a laugh. They had obviously been at the bar just a tad bit longer than us!
Some of the Catholic school girls that then transferred to MHS.

Our hubbies were quite the troopers. They just played along when people said they didn't recognize them!!

Fore

This good looking group is playing in the Member Member at the club this weekend. We (the ladies) got to be included for dinner after they golfed on Saturday. Scott and Mark were headed into Sunday's round in 2nd place. Josh and Curtis...............not so much, but they sure have had fun. They claimed they were putting on their game faces today.
