Are you ready.....

For some Football........or, to believe that I have finally posted again. I know, I have slacked once again. Mitch's tackle football team is in full swing now.
Scott is coaching Mitch this year. It is a little different starting over with a young group after coaching 6th graders last year, but he still seems to find the simple pleasures in it!

Getting in the swing of things

The boys haven't been able to golf all summer with baseball on their schedule. And after spending the day with them on the golf course, I can see why the two sports don't go hand in hand. Grant was able to ditch his baseball swing a little sooner than Mitch. We ended up in the wrong fairway a couple of times and dug up some dirt. The boys both ended hole #9 with great shots, so it was time to call it a day! Warming up before our tee time.
Scott continues to hit the ball long and straight. Really annoying coming from someone that can't hit the ball farther than my kids. What is the great pleasure in chasing a little white ball all over the place, anyways??
Getting a few pointers from Dad.
Finished. Scott turned his score in.......the other two.....not so much!

Lounging

This little guy was enjoying the rays on our back deck.

Winding down from Baseball

With baseball over for the season....well, summer ball anyway. Fall ball will start shortly.... Grant was able to play in the National Championship in the MAYB basketball league. It was a lot of fun to watch teams that play basketball all year round. A lot of the boys down there were taller than Scott! And these are 6th graders.
Scott found himself a job. Personally, I think he volunteers to get away from his loud wife in the stands.
This is how a team from Texas travels. They know how to do it right.

Pretty sure Mitch had more fun at the hotel.

Titan banner wins first place

At the opening ceremony on Sunday, the Titans banner won out of approximately 45 teams.

We did actually play ball..........

The boys played baseball 6 days straight, some days with more than one game a day. It was plenty warm in Colorado, but wasn't humid. Made it much easier to sit through.
