Are you smarter than a 5th grader?

Did you know that you can eat the wrapper on "Stripe" gum. Some very important information that I learned from my 5th grader.

Weekend Plans?

If not, it's Pumpkin Patch time again. This is the Auxiliary's Fund Raiser for Mercy Regional Health Center. The money goes to the Foundation, which then basically goes back to the Hospital. In the past year, they donated $80,000 in scholarships which went to employees/staff, and they also donated $100,000 to the Cardiac Unit.

Talk about good timing

I was dropping Grant off to watch the K-State game at a friends house, went in to say hello, and what do you know, a cajun spread before the game. I was just in time! Thanks for dinner, Holens.
The little creatures I just learned how to catch at the lake. These were just a little bit larger!!
The boys holding up their catch. Tanner was the only one brave enough to give one a try.
And, our little friend from this morning, who's web we that we had destroyed........was back and even bigger this time. I didn't have the heart to knock it down. We will see how I feel about her in the morning.

Itsy, Bitsy Spider...............

This little guy must have worked all night, only to have his web ripped away as we drove off this morning. Grant had to crawl through the drivers seat, as he was attached from the house to the side of the car.

Road Trip

Ok, so it was only to Junction City for a scrimmage, but it turned out to be great fun.
Mitch's Football team got to play on the Junction City H.S. Football field. They scrimmaged the JC Blue Jays 3rd grade team.
Coach telling them great job after the game.
It might have only been a scrimmage, but we are counting it as a win!!
Mitch heading down the sideline for a touchdown! Well, this was after the game was over, but still just as fun running down the H.S. field on their new turf.

You can kiss this goodbye...........

Found this photo the other night. Yes, blog stalking AGAIN. Anyway, with the news today, we might all be saying goodbye to some of this. But, it is a pretty cool photo. It is lined up perfectly with each building. My question is, is that the same thumb in all 4 photos?

It's not whether you win or lose, right?

But how you play the game...........

Both boys played at the KSU stadium today. What a treat!! Both teams much improved from last week, but still some work ahead of them. Great Coaching job by Scott M. He does a great job with the kids.
